NEW ORLEANS, La. – Gulf Coast Athletic Conference commissioner Steven B. Martin announced today that Voorhees College would not participate in this weekend’s GCAC volleyball tournament.
“Due to some circumstances that were out of their control, Voorhees has regretfully withdrawn from our championship tournament”, said Mr. Martin.
The tournament, now with seven teams will be modified slightly. Top seeded Xavier will be given a bye to the semifinals where they will face the winner of Philander Smith and Talladega at 3 p.m.
