The Arkansas-Pine Bluff athletics department released its 2014 football schedule on Wednesday, highlighting an 11-game schedule that features five home games and one FBS opponent.
Monte Coleman will kick off his seventh season as head coach when UAPB faces Texas State in San Marcos, Texas on Aug. 30.
The Golden Lions will complete their non-conference schedule the following week when they host Concordia (AL) in their home opener on Sept. 6.
UAPB will host four other home games: Jackson State (Sept. 27), Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 1), Prairie View A&M (Nov. 8) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 22). The Golden Lions will play five other games on the road at Alabama State (Sept. 20), Southern (Oct. 4), Grambling (Oct. 18), Texas Southern (Oct. 25) and Alcorn State (Nov. 15).
