The Morgan State football team continues to find ways to win games that were beyond their reach just a year ago.
Redshirt senior running back Keith Jenkins Jr.’s one-yard dive with 28 seconds left was the difference as the Bears celebrated homecoming with a heart-stopping 28-27 win over Robert Morris Saturday afternoon.
Morgan State has won four straight games and sit at 5-1 for the first time since the 2009 season.
The Bears trailed 14-0 after the first quarter but two Gavin Fetty field goals and an incredible 56-yard touchdown pass from Cameron Edge to Joseph Fowler got Morgan on the scoreboard.
Jenkins Jr.’s 45-yard touchdown run and Edge’s two-point pass to Alex Simmons tied the game at 21 late in the third quarter.
Robert Morris went back in front with a touchdown pass, but the extra point was blocked by Shawn Phillips, setting the stage for a dramatic game-winning drive.
Edge scooted 22 yards on 3rd down and 7 to get Morgan State into the red zone and two plays later, Jenkins vaulted over the top for the winning score.

Robert Morris had the ball at midfield with time running down, but Donovan Moyer stripped Colonials QB Carson Haggard of the ball and Jordan Jeudy recovered as time expired.
