Florida A&M football fans will be able to hear their team on the radio in 2026 after all.
The school announced Friday morning that an agreement has been reached with Tallahassee radio station WHBX 96.1 Jams to broadcaster Rattler football games for the 2026 season.
Bryan Fulford will return to play-by-play duties, joined by FAMU Hall of Famer Al Chester as color analyst.
“We’re proud to finalize this partnership with Cumulus Media, extending Rattler football and athletics coverage across the Big Bend region,” FAMU athletic director John Davis said in a statement released by the university. “This agreement reflects our commitment to giving Rattler fans, students, alumni, and surrounding communities access to the broadcasts they count on. Cumulus has been a strong partner throughout this process, and we look forward to building on that relationship.”
Earlier this month, the university decided to discontinue its radio broadcast, a decision that left Fulford searching for answers.
Now the answers are clear: Florida A&M football fans can listen to the game if they choose not to watch it. They will have their first opportunity Saturday Aug. 29 when the Rattlers host Albany State at 7 p.m. EST
