The HBCU Sports Awards is proud to announce that the Godsey Law Firm has signed on as an official sponsor of the 3rd Annual HBCU Sports Awards, scheduled for July 25, 2026.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to the HBCU community.

David Godsey, founder of the Godsey Law Firm, is a proud graduate of Huston-Tillotson University — one of the nation’s historically Black colleges and universities — making this sponsorship as personal as it is professional.

“There aren’t enough words to express how appreciative I am of David Godsey and the Godsey Law Firm for choosing to support this event,” said Kenn Rashad, Founding Publisher and Editor of HBCU Sports. “The fact that David is an HBCU graduate from Huston-Tillotson makes it that much more special. He had options. He didn’t have to do this. And I’m truly grateful that he chose to invest in what we are building here.”
