For the first time since 2022, the Los Angeles Rams are headed back to the NFC Championship game after connecting on a game-winning field goal to beat the Chicago Bears 20-17 in overtime.
The Rams’ win was highlighted by a strong performance by South Carolina State alum and former MEAC Defensive Player of the Year Cobie Durant (formerly known as Decobie Durant).
Durant finished the game with two big interceptions, a pass breakup, and two tackles. This is his second career game with two interceptions (in the playoffs or regular season), his first coming in his rookie year against the Denver Broncos.

The former SCSU defensive back became the first Los Angeles Rams player to record two interceptions in a playoff game since fellow HBCU alum Aeneas Williams hauled in a pair of picks in the Divisional Round against the Green Bay Packers in 2002.
Durant now has three interceptions in the team’s first two postseason games (six total when including the regular season).
In his five career postseason games, Durant has caught an interception in three of them, with his four total tied for second in Rams franchise history.
The Los Angeles Rams will now go on the road for a matchup with their NFC West division rival, the Seattle Seahawks, for a spot in Super Bowl LX.
