Facing elimination in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship Tournament, Albany State came through with a scoring barrage in the late innings, keeping their run alive with a 10-6 win over Lynn University.
The win marks Albany State’s first win in school history in the South Regional sector of the Division II Baseball Tournament.
Trailing 6-4 entering the ninth inning, the Golden Rams scored two runs, including an RBI single by first baseman Trenten Justice, to tie the game and send it to extra innings.
There, Albany State put the game out of reach with a pair of RBI doubles by Justice and third baseman Austin Roberts to seal the win.

The Golden Rams have scored at least 10 runs in four of their 10 postseason games, including 63 RBIs and three home runs.
Albany State will once again face the University of Tampa in a rematch on Saturday afternoon, with its season on the line.
In the opening game of the DII tournament, Albany State lost to Tampa 10-2. They allowed nine stolen bases, one of which resulted in a run on a failed pickoff attempt.
