The 76th annual Reese’s Senior Bowl is set to take place this Saturday, and it will feature an HBCU player who had an impressive performance on day one of practices.
Alabama A&M offensive lineman Carson Vinson, the only HBCU player invited to the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl, had a big day at practice increasing his draft stock in the eyes of draft experts.
A member of the Senior Bowl’s American Team, Vinson’s day featured winning a one-on-one rep against Texas A&M prospect Shemar Stewart and going toe-to-toe with LSU prospect Sai’vion Jones.
In an interview with The Draft Network, Vinson spoke on his strong performance saying, “I think it went great. I think I played to my standard. A lot of people, outside people, will say ‘I had an amazing day, I had a great day’ but that was just a [Carson Vinson] day for me. That’s just what I do, that’s what my standard is. So, I think I competed well and did what I needed to do. I just have to stay the same for the next few days.”
In addition to being the only HBCU player invited to participate in this year’s Senior Bowl, he is one of only five FCS players that was selected.
Vinson comes into the Senior Bowl after finishing the 2024 season fielding selections to the All-SWAC First Team, AFCA FCS All-American Second Team, and the Associated Press All-American Third Team.
His official measurements show his height at 6 feet 6 inches tall weighing in at 314 pounds.
