After a one-season hiatus, the Orange Blossom Classic will once again feature Florida A&M.
According to a report by Rattler Nation, an independent blog that covers university affairs, the Rattlers will play Howard this fall.
The game is scheduled to be played on Aug. 30 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, the website reported.
Neither school has released its 2025 football schedule to confirm whether the matchup will take place.
In 2024, Alabama State and North Carolina Central played in the 2024 Denny’s Orange Blossom Classic on Sept.1 at Hard Rock Stadium. It was the first time since the event was revived in 2021 that Florida A&M did not participate.
“Respectfully, I would like to see Florida A&M in the Orange Blossom Classic, but the truth is, the Orange Blossom Classic is bigger than FAMU,” OBC Chairman Oliver Gilbert III said ahead of last season’s game when asked about the absence of Florida A&M
Florida A&M and Howard last met in the Celebration Bowl in 2023, a 30-26 win in Atlanta to capture the Black College national championship.
