Entering the final weekend in the HBCU football season in the CIAA and SIAC, there is still a lot to play for as the conference championships have not been finalized.
The biggest change from last weekend came with Johnson C. Smith after being shut out by Fayetteville State, ending its unbeaten run.
Needing to beat the Broncos to clinch a spot in the CIAA championship, Johnson C. Smith now faces a scenario in which they can be eliminated from contention entirely, with Virginia Union and Virginia State also in the mix.
Elsewhere, Albany State suffered a significant loss to Savannah State, thereby hurting its chances of clinching a spot in the conference title game.
Also, Clark Atlanta kept its longshot hopes of competing for the SIAC championship with a win over Tuskegee.
Here is this week’s edition of the Ultimate HBCU Sports Division II Football Poll.
