Grambling State added some depth to their offensive line this week with a commitment from a 2023 Big South-OVC all-conference lineman.
Redshirt senior Darius Meeks, who was second-team all-conference for Charleston Southern last season, announced via social media that he has committed to the Tigers after entering the transfer portal.

Meeks, a graduate of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia, started all 11 games for the Buccaneers after appearing in 11 games in his first three seasons. He was CSU’s lone all-conference selection, helping the Buccaneers gain over 2,700 yards of total offense.
Meeks will be part of a Grambling State rebuilding on offense. Running backs Chance Williams (Cincinnati) and Floyd Chalk IV (San Jose State) left via the transfer portal. But quarterback Myles Crawley, who was among the leaders in several SWAC passing categories, returns to lead the Tigers into the 2024 season. Grambling begins the season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Louisiana.
