The contract lists that the series’ first game will occur on Aug. 20, 2025, when North Carolina A&T heads to Nashville to face Tennessee State. The series concludes on Sept. 9, 2028, when Tennessee State makes the trip to Truist Stadium to take on the Aggies in Greensboro.
The two schools last played in the 2010 Circle City Classic. In the 25th meeting, the Tigers beat the Aggies 37-7. The Aggies hold an all-time 18-6-1 edge in the series.
In addition to Tennessee State, the non-conference portion of N.C. A&T’s schedule includes the University of Central Florida on Sept. 6, followed by home games against Furman and North Carolina Central on September 13 and September 20, respectively.
The contest is Tennessee State’s third non-conference tilt, joining matchups against perennial FCS powerhouse North Dakota State on Sept. 6 and a face-off against Howard in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 18.
