After an All-American season on Grambling State’s defensive line, freshman Keyshawn Johnson will look to take his talents elsewhere.
Johnson announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he would be entering the transfer portal after a season where he was named to the Stats Perform FCS and FCS Central All-American teams.

“Firstly, I want to thank God for his many blessings and allowing me to make it this far,” Johnson’s statement said. “I would like to thank my family and friends for their true support. I would also like to thank Grambling University and the G family for giving me the opportunity to use and showcase my talent and helping me become a better person on and off the field.
The Belle Glade, Florida native recorded 26 total tackles, six tackles for loss, and five sacks, the latter tying him with senior edge rusher Sundiata Anderson for the team lead. Johnson will have three years of eligibility remaining.
