The transfer portal continues to gain new and important names daily as Arkansas-Pine Bluff swingwoman Zaay Green has entered the portal.
A source tells @TheNextHoops that Zaay Green of Arkansas Pine Bluff has entered the transfer portal. Green’s head coach at UAPB, Dawn Thornton, recently left to take the job at Alabama A&M

Green, who transferred to UAPB from Texas A&M, was a two-time All-Southwestern Athletic Conference performer, averaging 16.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in 55 career games for the Golden Lions.

Green also recorded three triple-doubles in 2023-24; the only player with more was Iowa guard and future WNBA No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark.
Green’s entry in the portal follows the news that head coach Dawn Thornton would be leaving UAPB for the Alabama A&M job.
