Even though the Grambling State women’s basketball team didn’t achieve their ultimate goal of winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference championship, the Tigers will still be playing in the postseason.
The Women’s National Invitational Tournament announced Friday evening that the Tigers, who lost a tough 61-59 decision to Alcorn State in the SWAC semifinals earlier in the day, earned an automatic bid to the WNIT.
