Kentucky State built a lead early going on a 10-0 run in a four-minute stretch in the first quarter. Ending the first period down five, Miles responded with a run of its own to take its first lead of the game.
They would build the lead to double-digits in the third quarter thanks to seven straight points to begin the period by Greer.
Trailing 67-57 with 1:39 remaining in the game, the Thorobreds refused to accept defeat, remaining aggressive on the offensive end, including two big threes, trimming the deficit to one with three seconds left.
However, Miles sealed the deal, hitting two big free throws to cement the win.
The day is not over for the Golden Bears, as their men have the chance to complete the sweep when they face the Clark Atlanta Panthers.
