The Jackson State football team may have just lost another key member of their SWAC championship team.
Defensive end Nyles Gaddy announced he is entering the transfer portal.
Gaddy had been part of one of the best defensive unit in the FCS after joining Jackson State from Tennessee two years ago.
He compiled 74 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, five passes breakups, two forced fumbles, and an interception in 24 games. This past season, Gaddy was named to the All-SWAC First Team.

Shortly after the Celebration Bowl, Gaddy announced he was entering the transfer portal but would later recommit to the program, saying he wanted to focus on getting the Tigers back in a position to win a HBCU national championship.
Gaddy adds his name to a long list of players who have entered the transfer portal from Jackson State this offseason.
In the past month alone, six players have entered the transfer portal, including All-SWAC running back Sy’Veon Wilkerson and wide receiver Willie Gaines.
