Texas Southern center Brison Gresham will have an opportunity to work his way to the pros after being one of 44 draft prospects to be invited to the NBA G-League Elite Camp.

Gresham is one of three HBCU players to be selected to participate in the Elite Camp along with the reigning SWAC Player of the Year from Florida A&M MJ Randolph and All-MEAC guard from Howard Kyle Foster.

Gresham transferred to Texas Southern where he played this past year after playing one season with UMASS and three seasons with Houston.

The Tigers big man put up 7.3 points, 6.9 rebounds (fourth in SWAC) and 2.3 blocks (second in SWAC) helping lead Texas Southern to their second straight conference title.

In the biggest games of the season for the Tigers, Gresham rose to the occasion imposing his will on the defensive end.

He recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and five blocks in the SWAC championship game against Alcorn State. He followed that up with a big performance in the First Four in the  NCAA tournament, finishing with six points, 13 rebounds and six blocks.

The G-League Elite Camp is set to take place on May 16-17 in Chicago. This is an opportunity for players to earn a spot in the NBA Combine, per ESPN NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony.
