This past Saturday allowed us to take in a SIAC contest that featured two bands that have been front and center on HBCU Sports in the past.
While the football programs between Benedict (0-5. 0-3 SIAC) and Miles (5-1, 2-0 SIAC) are trending in two entirely different directions, the band programs of each institution are certainly trending in a positive direction.
Charles W. Johnson Stadium on the campus of Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, was the site where the Benedict College Marching Tiger Band of Distinction battled with the Miles College Purple Marching Machine.
