ATLANTA, GA – Morehouse College is no longer undefeated as Albany State handed the Maroon Tigers their first loss of the season, 41-19, on Sunday afternoon at B.T. Harvey stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
Morehouse falls to 6-1, 2-1 SIAC, while the Golden Rams improve to 4-3, 3-0 SIAC.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but due to the damage caused by Hurricane Michael in the Albany area, both institutions agreed to play a Sunday afternoon game.
ASU jumped on the Maroon Tigers early and never trailed. Albany State opened up the scoring when Gabriel Ballinas kicked a 47-yard field goal in the first quarter giving the Golden Rams an early 3-0 lead. Albany State would take a 10-0 lead when Kelias Williams scored on a 20-yard run.
