Tennessee State and Bethune-Cookman squared off in the annual John Merritt Classic Saturday in Nashville.

It was another Week 1 contest that featured two bands listed among the top 15 bands in our HBCU Sports band poll.

Tennessee State won the football game 34-3.

The other question that looms is, which band won the halftime show?
