Jose’ Vazquez was formally introduced as Alabama State’s head baseball coach Thursday at the ASU Stadium Club Lounge.

Vazquez spent 14 seasons as an assistant baseball coach, the last six as the school’s associate head coach. He replaces Mervyl Melendez who accepted the head-coaching job at FIU after leading the Hornets to their first SWAC baseball championship.
