Alcorn State University Athletics Director Derek Horne announced that assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Fred McNair will serve as Alcorn’s interim head football coach, replacing Jay Hopson who was named the new head coach at University of Southern Mississippi Saturday.
Horne said that a national search for a permanent replacement will begin immediately.
