NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2015-16 basketball television schedule today with an exciting selection of men’s and women’s competitive matchups on multiple ESPN platforms.

As part of its agreement with ESPN, the MEAC will highlight four men’s regular season games and one women’s game.

The 2016 MEAC Men’s Basketball Tournament will also broadcast on ESPN2 with the men’s championship game airing live on Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m. The 2016 MEAC Women’s Basketball tournament will broadcast live Saturday, March 12 on ESPN3. The game is slated for a taped-delayed broadcast on Sunday, March 13 at 11 a.m. and will telecast on ESPNU.

The 2015-16 television schedule tips off on Saturday, January 16 with last year’s MEAC regular season champions Hampton Lady Pirates visiting North Carolina A&T State at 2 p.m. on ESPN3.

The men’s television schedule begins on Monday, January 18 with the MEAC regular season champions North Carolina Central Eagles hosting the defending MEAC men’s basketball tournament champion Hampton Pirates. The two teams will face off at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.

On Monday, Feb. 1, the Howard Bison travel to Princess Anne, Md., to face the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks at 7 p.m. on ESPNU. Hampton will host Morgan State on Monday, Feb. 15 with a 7 p.m. tip-off on ESPNU. The Coppin State Eagles will visit the Norfolk State Spartans on Monday, Feb. 22 in a 9 p.m. contest on ESPNU.

The 2016 MEAC Basketball Tournament kicks off March 7-12 at the Scope in Norfolk, Va.
