NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore senior Petra Jerabkova was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Player of the Week. Teammate Zuzana Ondruskova earned Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.

Jerabkova (S, 5-8, Sr., Prague, Czech Republic) helped pace the Lady Hawks offense by averaging 30.33 assists, 5.33 digs and 2.33 kills per match in three victories at the UMES Courtyard Classic. She finished with 31 assists, eight digs, two blocks and two kills in a 3-0 victory over North Carolina A&T State. She earned all-tournament honors for her efforts.

Ondruskova (OH, 5-10, Fr., Bilovec, Czech Republic) totaled 36 kills, 30 digs, five blocks and two service aces to help the Lady Hawks claim three wins at the UMES Courtyard Classic. She earned tournament MVP honors after averaging 12.0 kills per match. Ondruskova tallied a double-double of 14 digs and 10 kills in a three-set victory over North Carolina A&T State.

Other Top Performers:

Keanna Browne (MSU) totaled 23 kills, seven blocks and four digs at the Illinois-Chicago Invitational.

Valentina Carrasco (FAMU) registered 28 digs in, three matches, at the Arizona Invitational to earn all-tournament honors.

Angie Darcus (NSU) totaled 26 kills, 23 digs, four assists, four service aces and three blocks at the Campbell Invitational.

Kayla Finnerty (NCAT) tallied 52 assists, seven digs, two kills and two blocks in a 3-2 victory over Quinnipiac.

Jasmine Jackson (DSU) registered a double-double of 17 kills and 11 digs in a five-set win over North Carolina A&T State.

Aleena McDaniel (NCAT) recorded 15 kills, five digs, two blocks and two assists in a five-set loss to Delaware State.

Delicia Pierre (B-CU) tallied 19 kills, nine digs and three blocks in a three-set loss to St. Mary’s.

Pamela Soriano (FAMU) finished with 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks against No. 16 Arizona.
