Southern is scheduled to play Tulane in a football game at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans in 2016, according to an announcement posted on the Tulane Athletics website Thursday.
The Jaguars will be playing Tulane for just the third time, with the first two meetings (played in 2001 and 2002) resulting in wins for the Green Wave.
“With the schools in such a close proximity, the game should feature a fun and festive atmosphere,” Tulane University athletic director Rick Dickson said.
A date and time for the game will be announced at a later date.
