Kentucky State releases 2023 football broadcast schedule

ATLANTA – In conjunction with its annual luncheon and summer meetings, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will host its 2014 Football Media Day on July 21 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Montgomery, Ala.

This will be the first time the league will host the event in Montgomery. For a consecutive year, media day will broadcast live on the SIAC’s Digital Network. Head coaches and student-athletes will join the digital platforms via online video and audio streams in conjunction with coverage on www.thesiac.com.

The event is set more than two weeks prior to last year’s football media day, which hosted more than 200 attendees including members from regional media outlets. In addition, the SIAC will announce its football preseason teams and release details on the football championship game.

All head coaches and two student-athletes from each team are scheduled to attend. Cedric Pearl (Central State), Malik Hoskins (Lane), and Greg Ruffin (Paine) will make their first appearance at media day as a first-year head coach while Josh Dean (Kentucky State) will begin the season without the interim tag.

“We (SIAC) are extremely excited about this year’s football media day that will be hosted by the City of Montgomery,” said SIAC Commissioner Greg Moore. “The event format will be recalibrated in an effort to better showcase our student-athletes, coaches and SIAC member schools. With the start of the college football season fast approaching, we are anticipating that the event will generate excitement among the fans and increase visibility for our outstanding SIAC football programs.”

This year’s event will include a photo segment beginning at 11 a.m. CT with the stage session hosted by Doug Stewart scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. CT. The session will include Commissioner Moore’s address and head coaches season preview.
