Cliff Yoshida will be the new defensive coordinator at Prairie View A&M, according to a report from FootballScoop.com.

“Prairie View (FCS – TX)With Cliff Yoshida taking over as defensive coordinator, we hear Anthony Nunnley will take over as defensive line coach. Longtime defensive line coach Miles Brandon is leaving the staff per source. ”

Yoshida, whose coaching career spans more than 40 years, has had coaching stints at a number of FBS and FCS programs including East Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina Central, North Carolina A&T and Southern.

Before serving as director of player development at Georgia Southern for the 2013 season, Yoshida was defensive coordinator at Grambling from 2007-2012.

A source employed with Prairie View A&M confirmed that Yoshida was seen on campus last week.  An official announcement from the school is expected soon.

  1. cliff yoshida is the absolute BEST defensive coach a player could ever hope to be around.
    he is a motivator, he has a football acumen that is second to none and he has a wealth of experience that he translates into practical purpose.
