Rick Comegy is not expected to be named head coach at Mississippi Valley State after the school reportedly said it is unable to secure the necessary dollars to make the hire, media reports indicate.
According to FootballScoop.com, “MVSU was not able to come up with the funds to hire Comegy.”
I’m hearing the craziest story about Miss Valley State having to back out of hiring Rick Comegy because they don’t have the $. Amazing

Comegy was fired by Jackson State on Dec. 18 just two weeks after leading the Tigers to the SWAC Championship game.
MVSU will instead target Morehouse head coach Rich Freeman, the website said.
UPDATED – 1/21/2014: Mississippi Valley State Hires Rick Comegy As Head Football Coach
This is not hardly true, I am a reliable source and can tell you that if MVSU does is telling the media that they do not have funds, they are lying. They have the funds donations have been piling in, however they have people on the search committee who knows nothing about football and do not want Comegy because he came from JSU but the funds are there.
Since you have the corrected story to this post, is it possible for you the remove this one? It’s confusing the readers.
Thanks!
Ok…MVSU just had a presser to name him today. … What is the deal
