The (Monroe, LA) News Star is reporting that defensive line coach Ezil Bibbs is no longer on the Grambling coaching staff.
Grambling confirmed Friday that defensive line coach Ezil Bibbs, whose wife, Patricia Cage-Bibbs is GSU’s women’s basketball coach, has been relieved of his duties, which marks another blip on the radar for what has turned out to be a tumultuous month for the Tigers.
Bibbs’ removal from the team comes just two weeks after the university announced that then head coach Doug Williams had been fired after a 0-2 start. George Ragsdale was named the school’s interim head football coach.
Dennis “Dirt” Winston, who serves as the team’s defensive coordinator, will take over Bibbs’ duties as the Tigers prepare to host Lamar University today at 6pm.
I Vote Eric Dooley. Has all the qualifications of being a head coach. A famor player of GSU. Wide receiver coach at Southern University, and now the Offenseive Coordinator at Arkansas Pine Bluff. The SWAC defending champions.
