It took a Houston jury 34 minutes to find former Southern University Athletics Director Greg LaFleur not guilty on the charge of prostitution, according to a report filed by the Lafeyette Advertiser.
LaFleur was arrested in Houston back in April 2011 for alleged solicitation of a prostitute and eventually fired from his position at Southern University where he worked for nearly six years.
From WAFB:
“This should have never happened,” LaFleur said Wednesday. “The chick solicited me. I have lived with this for a year. I’m more pissed off than happy.”
Southern spokesman Ed Pratt said the university had no comment at this time.
A lawsuit filed against Southern University by LaFleur for breach of contract is pending. In the lawsuit LaFluer claims SU terminated him, ‘”before giving him written notice and an opportunity to refute the alleged cause”.
