Alcorn State, Miss. — In what may have been one of the ugliest games of the year the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils Football team suffered a, 17-14, loss to the Alcorn State Braves. In a game in which neither team seemed to want win as it was marred by 16 fumbles and 31 penalties between the two schools the Delta Devils blew opportunities late in the game to put the Braves away.
Offensively Valley’s running back Ronald Brewer had 47 yards rushing on 24 carries. Receiver Brandon Stargell had 50-yards on three receptions. Defensively linebacker Rory Malone turned in 10 tackles, with two sacks and two fumble recoveries.
The Delta Devils will return to action Saturday when they host Alabama State for theit Senior Day and Hall of Fame Game.
