COLUMBIA, S.C. – All Benedict College home football and basketball games will be live streamed and available to watch live, Benedict College Director of Athletics Willie Washington announced.
“This is a great step forward for the Benedict College athletic department,” Washington said. “Of course we want our alumni and fans to come and watch the games in person, but we also know there are a lot of alumni, fans, parents and relatives of student-athletes who are far away and not able to make games in person. This will allow them to watch and follow our teams.” [lasso align=”right” cart=”y” identifier=”B01KEU1LHQ” locale=”US” tag=”hbcusports-20″ ref=”amzn-benedict-college-tigers-s2-bucket-hat-59-cm-purple” type=”single” id=”72092″ link_id=”4896″]
The video stream will be available to watch for free in standard definition. For viewers who wish to see the stream in high definition, there will be a small fee.
Along with all home football and basketball games, select home volleyball games will also be available to watch. Check the Benedict College athletic website, www.benedicttigers.com, for a full video schedule and links to watch the video stream.
The home football games will use the audio feed heard on WLXC Kiss 103.1. Audio will also be provided for volleyball and basketball games.

In this day and age, I think it should be a “given” that
colleges and universities should live stream their event for free,
with an option (small fee) for anything over and above that.
My hat goes off to Benedict for this move! Well done!
