Just a retirement as Marching Band director, but he's still employed in the Music Department at JSU? Kyle Turner spoke highly of Dowell Taylor when Turner was at Texas Southern.

Yes....Still teaching, playing music for his church on Sundays, was doing Real Estate, now has a music lab/recording studio on campus.
His talents are ENDLESS..............
Hr wrote music, charted field shows, open door policy, open minded to ALL ideals, EVEN HELPED on the dance committee from time to time.......
