You are too old for that?

Re: You are told for that?

Let me ask you this since you already have a son: How do undo that once the child gets back home? For example, if you say "No" to something and he says, "Well, Grandma let's me do it", do you just smack him or something?

No need for a smack. Just a response: "I ain't Grandma."
The End.

Children, even young ones, know what boundaries they can cross.
My son gets away with A LOT at my parents' house (or when we're in Gwood) that he knows I wouldn't allow in ATL. I have a 3 year old neice who knows what things to do/say to which parent. Children aren't crazy. When your child gets here, you'll know how to handle YOUR child, because everybody is really different. Welcome to Parenthood! :)

Re: You are told for that?

Bilbrew, congrats on the baby. Don't stress yourself about parenthood or how your parents will or won't interact with your child.
Kids know who they can and cannot get over.

Congrats on the baby!

As the ladies already said... kids are smart. They will do certain things with you but not with your wife, they will know what actions get their desired reactions from each parent also. Just pay attention to the newborn and see how long it takes for him to wrap you around his finger. LOL
