So I take it that the ones that seem like bigots feel that blacks should be behaved while it it is more acceptable, to a certain degree, for whites if they get out of control but because you see more blacks doing it you concentrate more/totally on the blacks because you see more of it--just don't make no sense!
 
I'm wondering why some of you are surprised.....just like some of generalize when we see a Republican who is white and he is characterized as a racist....some this is a double edged sword.....racism is not going anywhere....

I ignore that mess....I focus on my thoughts of people of other races and try to be a better man...

I'm not surprised at all. Open your eyes and you will see a lot of things around you.

Good point....I'm a LSU fan...yet I know some white people only want black folks there to play sports. I mean...ATL Hornet would you be mad if Alabama A & M hired a white President....then he hired a white AD....then they both got together a hired a white Coach? Yet, the best candidate with all three positions was hired?

Or is it ok to hire black simply because Alabama State is a black college knowing that a white candidate was better?
 
Must be an Alabama and Louisiana thing with loving your state white schools, cause I could give a rat's arse about Mississippi State and Ole Miss and even USM.

IMO, it's nothing wrong with being a fan of the sports teams at any school, be it in your home state or not. As sports fans, ALL of us grew up watching these teams on TV ALL the the time.
 
What's so bad about the thread? It seems that most of them are trying real hard to be fair. I don't see anything any worse than some of us have said about out own people and our situation.

I'm not surprised at all. LSU message boards aren't too much better, especially after the Jordan Jefferson incident.
 
Uh ... some of us have degrees from those schools too. Know people who play on the teams. Know people on the athletic staff. So on and so forth.

And some of us just like good football.

One thing I hate about HBCUs is people assume you have to be closed-minded if you attend one.

ASSume away. You don't know my reasons behind not liking Mississippi's white universities. And you certainly don't know if I only like "black stuff."

I agree Crit. None of my friends I grew up with cares about UGA or GT.
 
What's sad is you folks accept they way these people feel about yall. Yes yall. They see no difference in you and Pookie on the corner. Weak, spineless, sad and back woods.

Thats as far as I go if one of the 3 PWC's got a good team worth watching.

BTW: Got MSU over Auburn this weekend. :tup:
