Reports were neither band did anything special.
So what was it............. a tie?
Probably, with JSU/Southern, you know neither is going to admit defeat!

same? boring? ghetto? I must have been watching a different show than you were because
SU's drills, routine and just about everything they did last night was new, or had not been seen
in quite a number of years.
On the other hand, jsu's routine, from the entrance to the exit was about the same that I have
seem from them on a pretty regular basis. On top of that, about a quarter of your band is still
standing on the sidelines "waiting" to join the remainder of the band by walking on and standing
in the formation. I don't see how any marching band can't figure out how to make "1" band and
have them all march together.
Also, as it relates to ghetto, or even country for that matter, what do you think about your
percussion section in a different uniform, and, dancing when the rest of band doesn't, and,
with them looking like a bunch of chickens trying to shake their heads off? Does that seem
ghetto to you too?
IJS
I'd rather watch Ohio State make cartoons on the field.

Please, the next time ya'll come to Jackson tune that Jukebox! Ya'll spent about an hour warming up, the Boom didn't warm up and still blew the Jukebox away! All that over-blowing didn't work, ya'll were just out-matched in numbers and sound quality! Please upgrade that Jukebox to a Bose system! Also, tell Homie he was too slowing calling songs to play, the Boom was quick on trigger! Boom don't play that Homie! lol

both had good sound man as usual. Other than that, same ol' thing man. I gave southern the nod....but you know some people on here can't take compliments. I expected more from Taylor for this game. I'm tired of the dudes on the mic tryin to narrate the dance routine.....and that goes for ANY band that does it. But Sat night was another example of it being bad.....a bunch of running around and c**nery.
So what exactly was ghetto?
Shidddd get on social media. JSU folks killing the boom
In response to the Boom playing while SU was playing (the times I recall)...
and I know some of y'all are going to brush this off but oh well..
SU songs were EXTREMELY long. No, seriously. even at the BOTB we were like, "daymn...cut the fugg off". It was like they would repeat the chorus part 3-4 times during the song. :shame: During the BOTB the Boom let them play and finish. But during the game the Boom would wait...and wait...and wait...then finally just blow.:noidea:
I kid you not, those were the longest songs I've ever heard play.
Damage control is in full effect. Oh well.

The Boom was quiet for most of the game. The Jukebox was playing when they could between the plays and hyping up the crowd but for the most part the Boom was quiet. And when the Boom would play it went like this: The Junkebox would play and then about 15 seconds after the Jukebox started playing the Boom would start playing while the Jukebox was playing. It was like the Boom was asking for permission from the Jukebox before they even attempted to play. The Boom never took the initiative to hype up the crowd. And they definitely weren't "quick on the trigger".
I was highly disappointed with the Boom. Both bands sounded good but the Jukebox was on that ass and hyping up the crowd.

That's called wild and stupid. How can the crowd hear two bands at one time? That's idiotic, dumb and ignorant....nevermind classless.
Did su practice with JSU band music playing in the background? Does su music sound better when JSU's band music is mixed in with it?
If both answers are no, then WHY play while the other band's playing? I'll never understand why one band plays while the other band's still playing unless the previous band is trying to hog all the time by playing long, boring drawn out songs.

Exactly! So why the the Boom only play in the stands whenever the Box played? I was confused as hell. What was Taylor thinking? It wasn't a good look for the Boom. Southern's band director was quick on the trigger and got his band to play during the dead periods and in between snaps. Taylor on the other hand was on some bs. He wasn't quick on the trigger and most of the people over by me were confused and mad as hell.
^^ Looks like someone is all caught up in their feelings. If Jackson State is whining and crying about their treatment from Southern during BoomBox this year IN JACKSON, wait until ya'll get COMPLETELY disrespected in Baton Rouge next year in that wonderful hostile environment of ours. If you scurrred, say you scurrred. I would be.
