Doesn't matter as long as y'all on there.You speak of being a top contender but for a first year coach, jsu being a contender for the east all the way till the end of the season this year says a damn lot. Also do you not know jsu has been apart of this so called big 3, 85 percent of the last 20 years so 3 years doesn't hurt. Lets not forget Stump Mitchell era and toward the end of Pete's era. Also just as alcorn is to the east so is pvam is to the west so I wouldn't speak to much about that if I were u. Since you want to bring up alcorn, seem like you should ask yourself that same exact question because if I remember right yall didnt fair to well against hopson neither unlike JSU. You SU folks are a joke. You a (SU) fan even started this thread about JSU but feel some type of way when someone has something to say about SU. Smh. Excuses are for the incompetent which is all this board has heard from the Mouthia squad the last decade and a half. I suggest you look up the definition of contenders and worry less about how we fairs with Alcorn. The fact that you mention them and not understand you gave confirmation to my statement of being a contender is hilarious at best and a SMH moment at worst.

Being proud of being below .500 and still having a chance to be call divisional champs?

Well atleast enough money was spent on having all JSU buildings and dorms OPERATIONAL. Southern is made up of 140 buildings. There are 19 that are vacant and three that are only partly used. State Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera said a lot of the ones that are being used are falling apart. Unlike SU, you can kinda use money at discretion once ground zero has been taken care of. Seems like Southern University itself could use all the attention there fans put on JSU. http://www.wafb.com/story/31284419/audit-uncovers-unsafe-conditions-on-southern-university-campus. This could have been a better topic for an SU alum and/or fan to have created versus shedding light on Coach Hughes and Coach Spady.

Hey but don't let me stop you from living large and feeling fresh. Southern state budgets cuts I'm sure will help propel Jackson State football right back into relevancy. By that time maybe they can steal.,..err spend more of the state's money and get their own stadium so their tickets won't be stolen.

When Coach Jackson needed a Hail Mary to beat one of the worst FAMU a football teams in history, that was when I fust knew Jackson State was in trouble...
