Would SU like The SU vs. Howard Football Series to Be Resurrected?

Expanding the Brand. You never know who is watching your football games, especially in the big cities. They ma want to do business deals.

SU vs. NC A&T and SU vs. SC State would have to take place in Atlanta thus resurrecting the ATL Classic.

FAMU right now is an enigma. Some Jags don't want to play them, some do but only in ATL and not Home and Home. I've always believed Home and Home was better fit for SU vs. FAMU.

The reason I keep bringing up Howard I threads is because there is HEAVY, HEAVY, DEMAND for SWAC Football in the NE. Imagine SU playing Howard on Howard's Homecoming. Not only would there be Jaguar Nation there, but many other SWAC Alums as well would come to DC just to see the ballgame and because it's Howard's Homecoming.

Well, you are right about the ATL Classic with SU vs NCAT or SCSU but I couldn't agree more with SU and FAMU being better suited for Mumford or Bragg then the GA Dome. That is the only MEAC school that I can see us traveling too. lol For example, North Carolina Central thought in 2007, SU was for sure coming to Durham to return the trip from 2006. I was like really.
 
What SU Jaguar don't wanna play FAMU????? Hell I believe that most of us wouldn't mind playing them on a yearly basis. I like visiting Howard when I'm in DC. Hell my niece attends Howard but I don't wanna play them in football. Give us FAMU, NC A&T, SC State, or even Norfolk.

I believe he has setup a side deal with a few women in D.C. to provide social entertainment if a SWAC school plays Howard in D.C.

SWAC Folks are funny. If we truly are that much better than MEAC, why not schedule their teams for regular season games?
 



HBCU Football is its own market. Don't yall see that? SU vs. FAMU, Alcorn vs. Howard, etc. will not be enough for sustainable.

We have to expose the younger generation to HBCU Matchups in the 21st. Trust me, Jags of today know who Howard is. They know who FAMU, NC A&T, SC State, etc are. They are the future. We must give them more SWAC vs. MEAC Matchups. Nobody is moving up to FBS. Nobody wants to put the top FCS Programs on the schedule.

I have a vision of sustainability for HBCU Football and Sports in General.
 
No want or need to play Howard....

and SU's Football brand is pretty damn strong last I have seen. We really don't need Howard to expand branding.....

and the vast majority of SU & FAMU fans long for a revitalization of the one of the Oldest Non-conference HBCU football rivalries of All-time.
 
Howard University was named after the wrong Union General. It should have been named after General Joseph Hooker.
 
It's not about playing Howard it's about playing in Washington, DC PERIOD. Howard just so happens to be the only HBCU fielding a Football team in DC. UDC does not have a Football Program to my knowledge.

You get your name out in DC, this may can lead to more corporate business dealings to help your program. It also increases the brand of the HBCU Football market.
 
Here's the thing sherlock. If we didn't get any of that in the eight years that we played them, then obviously it didn't help.
