So in other words, a win over a D-2 squad validates your program. After the season you just had. Wow.
 
To answer your question, my program isn't where I think it should be. But we're about to win our 2nd consecutive SWAC title after a 10 yrs drought. You gotta admit that's a much better building block than a single win over a D-2 team.

My post is right there. I simply stated "glad we beat the #1 ranked team in bcf".
It is what it is. And if anybody else had beat the #1 ranked team, they would be glad too. That is true of every sport, at every level. PLEASE don't lie and say its not.

I told you before those rankings are bogus. SC State, PV, Grambling and FAMU were clearly heads and shoulders above TU. If JSU had beat one of them(and we are in a couple of weeks), I'd be happy. But not too happy because I expect us to beat those teams.

Divert to building blocks, attendance, expectations and anything else, but the point is there. And it's still standing.

Again, Sheridan is the recognized poll. Whether or not SC State, PV and other schools are better than Skegee is really irrelevant. I'm sure the same things were being said last year, but it shole didnt stop Skegee from being awarded the bcf championship. By the recognized poll.

Bogus to anyone with sense. Any poll that puts a D-2 team over ranked FCS teams is inherently suspect.

All I got is a flimsy PB win over Skegee in 06 (and Miles and CAU beat 'em that year) and A&M over TnSt (even though TnSt wasn't ranked #1)

btw, notice it was Jsu folks who came up with those two ooc games. Any wonder why those same Jsu folks didn't mention any Jsu games. :scared::scared:

Dude, you are so misguided. You have been sorry since you been in the SWAC. You were some lucky ole dogs. When you first joined the SWAC you were 1-13 vs the Big 3. Hughes, AlaState, Grambling and 7 game format ALL worked together to get you to Bham. It took you 3-4 years to start getting wins over us. THEN, you got the gift of James Bell. I can count the teams with winning records you have beat since being in the SWAC on one hand. Had we never hired Hughes, you may yet to see Bham in December.

I'm not necessarily a fan of the Sheridan poll. Never have been. But I do recognize that it's the recognized poll in bcf.
Hate it all you want, but it is what it is.
 
The Sheridan poll is a joke and disgrace. Quality wins are not considered much, if at all. It's the ONLY poll I know of that doesn't count quality wins.:smh:

According to Sheridan standards, beating Albany State or Shaw is no different than beating a JSU, Grambling or FAMU.
