With the 7-Game Mandate, Can The SWAC-MEAC Challenge include all SWAC and MEAC Teams?

Since the SWAC is going back to a 7-Game Mandate, wouldn't it just make sense for the SWAC-MEAC to do a Conference Wide SWAC-Challenge played on each other's campuses for Week 1 (or the week available just so as long as the game is played)?

Example (Pairings would be based on the previous year's Conference-Wide Finish in Standings):

SWAC Previous Year #1 vs. MEAC Previous Year #1 aka Celebration Bowl Rematch - Played at MEAC Team Home Stadium

SWAC #2 vs. MEAC #2 - Played at SWAC Team Home Stadium

SWAC #3 vs. MEAC #3 - Played at MEAC Team Home Stadium

SWAC #4 vs. MEAC #4 - Played at SWAC Team Home Stadium

SWAC #5 vs. MEAC #5 - Played at MEAC Team Home Stadium

SWAC #6 vs. MEAC #6 - Played at SWAC Team Home Stadium

... And so on down the list.

Then for the next season, the Home Sites would just be the opposite of what they were the year before.

Example: SWAC #1 vs. MEAC #1 Celebration Bowl Rematch - SWAC Team is the Home Stadium

SWAC #2 vs. MEAC #2 - MEAC Team Home Stadium, etc.

And so on. Does this not make sense?
 



Nice try....but the 7-Game mandate is real and you two won't change that.

Now would be the perfect opportunity to expand the SWAC-MEAC Challenge.

Every teams needs a good competitive game outside the conference and this is it.
 
You do know that that MEAC currently has a 8-game slate.

You do know that these schools are scrambling to fill schedules years ahead of time.

You can't hold teams' schedule hostage for a potentially non-money-making nonconference game in which you don't know who you're exactly going to play.
 



Most of our schools need to use some of those freed up spots in 2017 and 2018 to schedule some money games w/ FBS opponents....get those bills paid, fund the programs better and then step out and play some competitive FCS schools. AD's need to be using this as an opportunity to develop a winning programs, in all sports, by 2020.
 
What idiot AD would have their school travel half way across the country to play a game where fans don't even support their own except for a couple of rivalries?

When you have the Southland conference right in the same footprint that would do three times more for your pwr ratings.

That's just plain dumb

Bluedog that's part of the thing with a crazy fine woman with that good good, she still going to find a man that's going to try to look over the crazy. That's why she been married so many times. They hear and know she's crazy but being fine with that good pudding make some guys try to look over it.
 
I had mentioned doing just that on past threads. One season host it at the SWAC schools and the next at the MEAC schools. Pair the teams based on previous season finishes.
 
The whole idea is not a bad one, but reality suggests the inclusion of some latitude for the scheduling of money games as well as in-state and regional contests.

Like Journalist said, the MEAN has a 8 game conference schedule and they need to use their 3 ooc games for money ventures.

Also they have 11 football playing schools and the swac only has 10.
