Winners and Losers in the Israeli/Hezbollah conflict

If this ceasefire stands my winners are: Hezbollah (strategically); Iran; Syria

Losers: Lebanese civilian population; America

Split decision: Israel (tactical win/strategic loss)

Will the Ehurt(sp) government survive?

If Sharon was still in charge I don't believe the conflict would have occurred.

Just think about it, besides destroying Lebanon the two sides will do a prisoner exchange. That is why the Hezbollah leader seized the Israeli soldiers in the beginning. The current Israeli government badly mismanaged this 1 month battle. Notice I did not say war. The war will continue.
 
Of course it'll continue...Israel has already said that they will continue to pursue and destroy Hezbollah. Israel has given Hezbollah reason to proclaim victory in this battle and encourage more terrorists that Guerilla Warfare/Army is still in their favor.

true, but my caviot would be yeah Hezbollah "won",, but only because they won the "cease-fire", "negotiation", "world public opinion" global (liberal pro-anything that's anti-Bush/America battle,,, even though if it wasn't for the United States, all this free press, the CNNs/CBSs/NBCs/ABCs/ACLUs/Human Rights Watch/CAIRs/UNs/Red Cross etc of the world wouldn't exist.) media/public opinion blattle. amazing how nothing is said about them provoking Israel,, but if Israel would have pre-empted them,, why then Israel would be getting blasted as imperialists and/or aggressors that had to be stopped.

Thats a very good succinct way of putting it PD. you put the hay down where the goats can eat it. can't argue that. that's it to a tee. :|
