Will UAPB Buy out Coach Mo Forte's Contract or fire Coach Moe Forte!!!

Nope Jay Arrah. Methinks Sperm gonna' bust the cap in a few. :lmao:

Seriously, I think that Forte has to be given a few more years to see if his scheme and his recruits can get the job done. I will say this, however, if those frosh that I looked last weekend are any indication as to how UAPB will be in the future, I can assure you that the future is very, very bright.

PB's always had a killer ground game and it starts up front. :read: Good luck Golden Lions.

I think Forte needs an offensive co-ordinator if he wants to be even more successful. We have this guy name Mark Orlando that can surely help them diversify their offense.........on the serious tip.

Forte spent many years in the NFL as a running back coach. He tried to open up the passing game this year and it didn't work, same thing w/ Hardman. He needs a defensive coordinator who can stop the pass happy offenses in the SWAC. I myself LOVE the running game, it isn't effective if your defense can't stop anybody because once you are down, you can't score quickly.

You all didn't do too bad last year defensively (out scored opponents by about 100 points over the season )

Every coach in the SWAC know that UAPB can't stop the STRETCH PLAY and the pass. Last year UAPB figure it out(the strecth play) in the last quarter in last year's game with PV. Now those athletes who had the speed to stop that play have graduated. Southern will do the same thing tomorrow, hopefully the youngsters(the Frosh on defense) have figure it out by now by playing Jackson and Praire View.

You are right, that 1st year for Mo, he could have gotten 12 monkies to play harder for him than Hardman got football players to play hard for him. Couple that with the fact of how things went down with scheduling issues, 1st year coach, that team went out and DEMANDED respect. Not to mention 17 starting seniors who hadn't had a collegiate winning season.

Mo has a good thing in that running game. He needs to stick with it and pass only when needed and not because the fans think he needs to open it up more.

It may be me, but I just love to see a team wear down another team with their running game.

I love the running game also. But the pass will add some excitement

If Mo loss 17 seniors off of last year squad he sure need at least another year or two to regroup. However, coaching is a tough profession and the fans don't want to hear that. The higher the profile of the school, the more pressure to win.

Yeah, not only did he lose 17 seniors, last year team didn't have many freshman. So this year was his first year of coaching his recruits. If there isn't a SWAC championship in 3 years, then lets complain.

He has already began to work on next year. UAPB's senior starting QB (John Pierce) has been benched so that the freshman QB can get some action.

WTF?

The reason he's still on campus assigned to another job is because the Chancellor had too much kindness in his heart to send that mofo to the house where his ass belonged.

All you're hearing is the same speculation that everyone else was spouting @ the game.

If he takes the job and coaches the Lions again, you can best believe them futhamuckas will lose a ISHTLOAD of alumni dollars in season ticket sales.

L.A. ain't THAT ignant.
Nita, remember that this is the same guy who started a similiar thread after about the second game. He seems to have an unexplained love for Hardeman, therefore needs Moe out.
It was also he that predicted that UAPB would go 0-11 after the first 2 games.
WHO IS THIS GUY???? LEE?????????

Why are you so mad at Hardman?? Coach was the best to coach at UAPB besides those 3 losing seasons 4-7 3-8 4-7 . Okay not bad by standards but now we are 2-7 under coach Mo's system. They were 6-3 last year but make that 6-5 his first year if we would have played SU and Alcorn. Coach Hardmans went several years @ 8-3, 8-3, 7-4, 6-5 , 6-5,8-4, 4-7,3-8,4-7 so Lee was not that bad of a coach and he took UAPB to the NAIA championship game. Do you remember?? He beat Grambling and SU as well as every team in the SWAC during his tenure. Research before you talk and I stay in Dallas and if you want to meet me let me know. I can sit down and have a one on one talk with you. UAPB is not losing dollars but if Coach don't come back he has been offered several coaching jobs but has refused!!!!!!!!!!!!! What has Mo done for you knucke heads lately!!!!
List the jobs he was offered.

I have no interest in meeting you, and I owe you no explanations. I don't speak much about Sports, so I tend to know wtf I'm talking about before I speak. Unlike yourself, just because I don't go spewing foolishNESS all over the damned place doesn't mean I don't know the FACTUALITIES behind what I say before I say it. I don't need to type a seemingly ceaseless diatribe to get my point across. Peep the sig.

You're on a public forum talking school business, when we have a private forum to which you have not requested access, as if these other people give two ishts about what happens as UAPB unless it affects them DIRECTLY, yet you want to refer to others with viewpoints divergent (and more coherent) than yours as knuckleheads.

Dude where do you get this crap from? I was at the game on Sat just as I am always being that I hold season tickets. I sat among several Older Alums and not one of them complained that it was time to make a coaching change. As a matter of fact non of us left until the game had ended. What about you? Your right in one area, Hardman was the right man at one time,( while we were an NAIA school ) but when we returned to the SWAC he was certainly out of his comfort zone. Those records that your implying were mostly compiled against NAIA schools. Dont get me wrong I think that Hardman is a good man but he is not the man for UAPB. If he does come back as coach I will not continue to purchase season tickets. At least the kids are not quiting like they did with Hardman , they continue to play hard until the end. I appreciate that. Besides you know that we dont have the $$$$ to buy out that contract!!!! Give the man time. You know historically that we have only been average at best and mostly bad. But Im still proud to be a UAPB Grad.

You and Nita talk I will just sit back. Our fans showed more loyalty Sat than I have seen in a long time. Many, many stayed until the end. Staying to the end for that game was a task especially for our fickle fans.
Moe has made some errors (few) but I think he will have competing for 1st or 2nd every year henceforth, instead of playing for 3rd.
Heck, who would hire Hard for the THIRD time!!!!

You never had a chance in the Grambling game. That is like saying the PV game slipped away from uapb. So now uapb is having undercount problems too. Can it be that you guys can't count? So they are letting 6,000 people in through the gate that the band comes in.
The capacity is about 17,000. The announced attendance was I think 13,500. There was not room for another 4,000. There had to be more than 13k. The reasons, I do not know.

Shid...if yall decide to let Forte big azz leave please let us know first. I'd love to have his azz on our staff with the offensive line. He has the right mentality for pounding a mofo's azz.

I agree and I too like seeing a good running game. But the spread offense is starting to win me over...especially if you have a qb that can make it work. Grambling is so pass oriented because of Bruce's ability and the receivers we are able to recruit. But you just can't beat a good run game to put a defense away.

This is not about GSU, but I think in the future, you will see us run more out of the spread formation with Landers and Kerlegan. Our big offensive line is more suited to pass blocking, but we proved last week that we can run it also. That helped Big time!

Back to the subject though: UAPB has the backs to go 1 back with more of a run game, but I would seek to incorporate more recruiting of guys who can catch and run.

When has a predominately run team been successful in winning a championship in the conference? .

UAPB needs to give Forte' more time. What is the rush? Losing to pv is embarrasing, but it is not the end of the world. But if you do not mix passing plays, creatively in with your offense other than in desperation, you will not be successful.
