Will the Alcorn vs. JSU Game FINALLY have a Significance in 2015?

I hope this game determines who goes to the SCG because lately....it really hasn't had much meaning.

By the time Alcorn and JSU Face other, you pretty much know one or the other is going to SCG while the other is just playing for Pride. I hope this doesn't reoccur in 2015.

If it does, the rivalry, even though it has gone to Home and Home, will continue to not reach its full potential.

I want to see 60,000+ in Memorial.
 



Basebone.. JSU fans are ummmm sigh. Before we fired Comegy, we had the second best record over a 4 year period behind BCU (which was cheating). But you would have thought JSU had the worst team on the planet according to JSU fans. ...and honestly, most of us don't look at Alcorn as a rivalry because we simply look at them as a lil unknown school that we should beat. Now that they have found a little bit of relevance, hopefully, some fuel will get added to the fire.
 
^^^that mentality is precisely why when Alcorn smacks JSU in the mouth, they go overreact & fire coaches that lost only one SWAC game all year (Alcorn). They don't understand how we do what we do because we are that lil school in the country.

Its hard for them to accept that Alcorn is their Elder & they must be chided when out of line. (We're the only school that can really do that to them).

As for the game, I wouldn't mind it. The game needs it honestly, but I doubt it. Alcorn has figured out a way to the SWAC crown pre-Jackson. That won't change IMO.

You acting like you all did something new. Also, JSU was not in the mix last year but trust me, this azz whoopin gone be WORSER in 2015! Happy Thanksgiving!

Interesting.

I watched late 80's and early 90's Southern fans deal with being so far away from catching up in the BC series to the point to where they didn't expect the football team to win. After the horrible mid 90's streak, they have earned their stripes to talk the talk. Like it or not, Jackson State has no reason to respect Alcorn. They are leaded in the series, and they beat the best Alcorn team they have faced in decades. Alcorn must now go on a streak if they can.

Who told you we need or want Jackson's respect? Who said that we respect them?
Honestly I never have, they don't conduct themselves worthy of an Alcornites respect imo.

As for the game, we know what we can do & have done to Jackson. Post Mcnair put us on a high and also and unintentional funk that was hard to get out of. The series was much closer back then, but we lost 9 straight after that. It made the record way more lopsided than it was.

Well respect is one thing, and the overall series is another. I never said "try to earn their respect", I just said go on a streak so y'all hush things down a bit.

As for the woulda coulda shoulda about the game,(in which I usually pull for Alcorn), Jackson State is in overall command. Hate or like it.


Lastly, you Alcorn folks really have gotten our your classy character since winning the title. I sure hope Valley folks don't start acting like they never been to Disneyland before when the start winning.
 
Alcorn isn't even worth our attention. After all Ivy shredded their defense and they return the same sorry secondary they had last yr so we should be a 21 pt favorite vs them this yr. Do I need to post Ivys stats in 3 qtrs vs Alcorn again to clarify my point?

You all continue to say we aren't worth your attention but some how our name always comes out of someone from your schools mouth. Why is that? An obviously that was you guys super bowl I guess that's why you can't stop talking about it, but do continue congrats on your win

The person who started the thread is an individual that know one from Alcorn can vouch for, so no Alcornite gives two shits about what he has to say or what his opinion may be. So technically Alcorn vs Jsu keeps coming out of his mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JSU has beat you 4 out of the last 5 years. Nothing will change this year. I'm telling you. What we do to you in 2015 will be worse than what happened in Lorman! I just hope you all come in with your hopes sky high! lol
