Why The MCC Is The Greatest Classic

1. It is played in Birmingham
2. It has a parade
3. It has the best half time show
4. It made BCF what it is today

and I have been promised some pigs feet, collard greens, corn bread, sweet potato pie, fired turkey, pound cake, Bud, Crown, and real ice water. All I have to remember is the number of the tailgate spot.

Will it be televised? Surely such a big game will be televised on national tv, huh?

I probably should've stop reading when I saw "Birmingham" but this where I really stopped reading.....

I have nothing against the Bama schools.... but that halftime show is nothing but a contest to see who can c**n the hardest. :shame:

This coming from someone whose band's percussion section climbs on each others shoulders with the bottum person tap dancing while the one on his shoulders twirls his cymbals and throws out candy to the crowd.

MD,
You shole is right. Any real fan of bcf will find a way to make it to the MCC.

Oh my!

Mike Bigg, the MCC was welled established before TV was developed, therefore, there is no need to be seen on TV. MB, the BC is still trying to make a name for itself therefore National TV is necessary to get the word out that the BC exist. However, the BC is good exposure for AAMU, because they talk about our Superbowl Coach throughout the broadcast. Anything lasting for 64 years without TV is a great event. We don't wear faded tee shirts at the MCC. We wear Minks, and the finest clothing on the market on that day. If you recall that guy at the CIAA Basketball tournament who changed suits every quarter; he does not come close to what you will see at the MCC. This is a Bama thing and if anyone shows up wearing a GSU Tee-shirt (like your alum at the SU game) or anything else other than Maroon and White or Black and Gold, we will be pointing at him/her and saying :what: with a :(

I found a pair of Magic Johnson's Maroon Pants this summer while visiting Hampton, GA and at the moment I don't know what I am going to wear. I have a Maroon Leather Suit that will also be considered. I don't ever want to wear mink again because it drew too much attention.

AAMU Fans! The MCC cannot compare to the Bayou Classic. Actually the Largest HBCU classic right now is the FAMU/BCC classic in Florida and next the Bayou Classic. Outside of Alabama, who really knows anything about the MCC?

That is a questionable statement considering that the BC is broadcasted all over the world. If you think the FC is larger, I have some lake front property in Eastern New Orleans that I would like to sell you. Don't believe everything you read @ MEACfans. The two or three thousand difference in attendance numbers at the gate is inconsequential.

The Bayou Classic brand is similar to what Coke is in its market. Everyone wants to compare itself to the BC and tout a better product. However, the entire country knows that the BC is the Crown Jewel of all BCF Classics..........Don't ever get it twisted.

You shole is right MightyD. The MCC is the biggest classic. :read:

RRRRrraaa, *coming to the aide of my fellow panther brethren* I'mma need for you bulldogs to focus on the bumble bees right about now. Our "smack" will come the last week of the year for us, so... just save it. :)

Carry on!

JROCK, I was talking about the size of the Crowd. Last year the Florida Classic had 70 + people to attend the game. That's why I said actually the FL Classic is the largest. I think the BC had 60 + last year and those number go up and down each year. I will always prefer the BC over anyother classic, because I'm a Grambling Alumni. Don't get it twisted man!

MD,

The MCC is booty. Before you all joined the SWAC, no one had ever heard of it and now that you in the SWAC...no one cares. The only people who care are the people in Alabama who come to their ONE game per year. BTW, I have not seen the MMW this year but I am sure they suck and will be blasted by the Sorry Marching Hornets A-dayum-gin.

Why don't you go and wipe Bell's arse, and keep your dumb arse out of this discussion, huh?

Sometimes it just take longer for some to comprehend the information that has been posted about the MCC. We never said we are the largest classic, we only stated that the MCC is the Greatest Classic. This is the 64th MCC and the reason folks like TP had never heard of it; is that families hid it from their kids because the kids would be asking Ma and Dad where are your mink coats? How come the other kids in our neighborhood are dressing up and it is not even Easter. You all probably did not hear about it because the Classic had an aristocratic present that even the late Bull Conner could not figure out. When all those black folks from Bama South and Bama North showed up all he could do was shake his head.

What ever those of you who are confoosed about the MCC, do not compare it to any other game.

Hell! folks in Bama never heard of the CCC in Jackson before yall advertised the game in Bama several years ago. And that's the truth. Outside of Bama yall can't comprehend a classic being played for 64 years when yours has been played no more than 33-34 years or 20-30 years. :shame:
