When I was on the road we stopped at Waffle Houses almost exclusively while in route from one city to another.. Never ANYTHING that remotely resembled this. This a new.

I have 5 waffle houses within 10 minutes of my house. When you're from down here, you already know most of those folks are working there as an absolute last resort and don't give a fuck about much of anything. You're basically trying a person that often feels like they have nothing to lose. The cook at the one I go to conceal carries lol. I show em the same respect I show everyone else and leave em the hell alone.
Huddle House was REALLY the bottom of the barrel. We had one in LaGrange that went out of business like 20 years ago. On the low, the breakfast I used to like the most was Shoney's. In Lagrange when I was young, going to Shoney's or Western Sizzlin' were special occasions for that breakfast.

Believe me it's still the same. You haven't missed a thing. lol It still runs straight through you and the weirdest people and things still in there. Although you can see some nice half naked hood chicks sometimes. lol
I have only eaten at a Waffle Houses twice in my lifetime. The one on Almeda-Genoa here in Houston, and the one across from Turner Stadium in Humble, and I didn't like either one.
