Why is it so hard to ACTUALLY talk SPORTS?

If you talk like you have a bit of sense on this board, the folks dont want to hear that. For instance last year Basebone came on the board talking about SU had a chance because NM was weak. Well hell, SU was weak. He said something to the effect that NM couldnt stop the run. When I pointed out that SU cant run the ball, the first thing out of his mouth was, of course, "you a hater." Wait...first he said he was more knowledgable than everyone else and then he said I was a hater. He never backed up his premise, all he did was say you a hater.

Thats the kind of sports talk these folks want. They cant have a decent debate, they want to make definite command statments and everyone has to go along with that nonsense or else "you a hater." TruDawg said AAMU has an abundance of talent at WR...huh? That deserves questioning. If BamaState says they are an academic institution then someone will have to question an asinine statement like that without someone saying "you mad."
 
I agree people take things out of context most times. The only true way to have a discussion is in person my opinion. People have a lot of pride in their schools and wont let any comment go. They need to start respecting opinions and realizing that its only opinions. No need to boohoo after each comment but hey I guess thats how some people are raised lol

GF, first off, I respect and look forward to your posts. They are sensible.

My problem is when a poster tell lies or embellish to make their point to support their opinion. That's not necessary on the SportPage. Take the half-truths to the smack board where they belong.
