Why Hasn't JSU vs. Alabama State Gotten More Media Publicity?

BH has been watching this game for the past decade. It seems like this game often
gets ignored by the SWAC for reason. Seems like everytime they meet up,
something is on the line.

In my opinion, this rivalry is greatly Unappreciated. It needs more TV Coverage.
 
Well, we had the Bell Error, when we came out the Bell Error, Bama State was entering the 668 era.

What has been on the line?
 
These are not really two high profile national programs. Perhaps with the presence and interests of Crowell it may garner more attention.

NEWS FLASH... None of us are high profile programs. Until the SWAC can sign a TV contract with the games televised live on Saturdays we need to keep the better games off television.
 
Alabama State is still not recognized as a legit football program. For the sake of the SWAC and BCF, I hope they can be consistent but history proves they are miles away.

DaHill, the AlaState-JSU game typically decides the tiebreakers in the SCG race. If we beat them, 9 times out of 10, ya'll are out because AAMU can't beat a good JSU team. Since Comegy has been in the SWAC, the MCC has only determined the SCG rep once and that was last year. From 2006 thru 2008, the JSU-AAMU game winners were SCG reps. In 2009, all of us were so bad I can't even remember the scenerio but I think we still had a chance when we came to Huntsville. In 2010, the JSU-AlaState game determined the SCG rep. In 2011, JSU was not in the race. 2 out of the last 6 years, the SCG rep had to beat JSU to get there and the other two JSU was there.

Sorry to tell you but the entire country knows who Southern and Grambling is. The rest of you all are really low profile.

Just like the entire country knows that JSU has tried to save Southern by sending you a system president and by helping your athletic department make a profit so ya'll can pay Stump.
 
Since Valley usually has no chance and Alcorn has little chance, from the process of elimination there are only 2 other teams to compete with JSU for the east, the 2 alabama schools. AAMU can't really figure out how to beat JSU most of the time so that leaves 1.

If you list JSU's top 4 rivals, ala st doesn't make the list.
 
The only way the SWAC will get national coverage is if when all the schools in the SWAC consistently beat SEC teams every year!

Why would the "nation" be interested in us when all we play is each other? Our games have not relevance outside of our fanbase. The MEAC folk aren't even concerned about us anymore!

Honestly, this conversation shouldn't be about JSU at all. Since 2000 JSU has only had about 5 winning seasons and only two appearances in the Title Game. BAMA and BAMA ST has ruled the EAST point blank, and will rule this year too. Just saying.
