Not trying to be funny, well, I lied, yes I am. :emlaugh: Go to an Ohio St/Michigan game in November. I don't care if it's snowing 5 inches in 40 minutes, it'll be packed, folx will be OUT of their seat, yelling/cheering, and smiling from ear to ear in the weather. THAT was my first real encounter w/ TRUE fans and most I felt like I shared something in common w/.
You know you asking a lot from "us" to be a true fan of our sports teams. I never perceived sporting events to be social gatherings. The closes experience I had to that was high school and that was with one school, Kenwood. That was a city event. Outside of that when I went to football and basketball games, it was for the game itself. If I saw people I knew fine, if not, it was not a wasted trip.
