The same reason they say, "Dont buy me a birthday present." But be upset if they do not see a gift, card, flowers, candy, or something. Just a "Happy Birthday" is not good enough.

I agree DTJ. We all have gotten so wrapped up in us instead of realizing the real reason. I think that we need to go back to the old days and ask the magi, "How did it feel to truly behold HIS presence."

What Ya'll need to do !!!
Ya'll need to start buying people ISHT that they can't possibly use. This especially helps with people that live close buy. For example If you have a pool buy some nizzles in da hood some chlorine....they be like, I can't use this. Then you can borrow it back from them and use it if you have a pool. I did some simular ISHT with my cousin I bought her some DVD'S knowing she aint got a DVD player.....man, I got a collection like a Futha Muka now.
